laughable widget

That baby ticker in the sidebar is so ridiculous, it's funny.

Baby brother is not floating around serenely in there... oh no. Room to move? Not really. His head is wedged down low, his fists are pummeling my cervix, his butt is up in my left rib cage and his feet are randomly kicking and stretching the right side of my belly.

Happily, this is all very good.

i've always been floored by all the room they give in that thing...

i remember those days, with two months to go and you're thinking, seriously? there is room in there to still get bigger? and then i learned that that was because i got bigger, too. yikes i was huge at the end.

almost the home stretch here - hang in there! it's all very exciting. my neighbor is due in 5 weeks and we just sat around at playgroup with hands on her belly feeling little sister kick us. so fun :)

You're due just about the same time as my BFF. It's been interesting to see how the two of you stack up, preggo-wise.

and just how do we stack up, Miriam? Enquiring minds want to know.

Well, you're more granola-y than she is. You talk about agave and gestational diabetes and healthy stuff. She complains about heartburn and the baby having hiccups. Being pregnant has also decreased her already low patience for fools and idiots :P

You also have a wifey, a toddler--I mean big boy--and two cats to deal with, and she just has a husband and two cats.

Two sides of the same coin, I guess?

In other words, I'm silently taking all the notes I can, *just in case* I ever decide to do this myself.

true, I'll take the granola-y bit as a compliment. I did all of the heartburn complaining the first time around, and haven't had it bad at all this time, and baby hiccups are just funny, in my book. Maybe I'm just enjoying them more because unless circumstances change drastically in ways I don't anticipate, this is my final pregnancy.

But I'm with her on the fools and idiots. Drivers who aren't paying attention are high on my list, too.

The two of you really aren't all that far apart, it just amuses me the different aspects you each choose to highlight.

Thanks for your comments. I am ashamed that I forgot Hanuta. Man, I loved those things, back in the day. I also loved Milchschnitte and Balisto. Yum!
